Brass Cleaning - Reduce the Effects of Tarnishing.

When brass is exposed to the weather it will tarnish. To help keep the brass looking shiny it will need to be polished regularly from new with a brass cleaner and following the manufacturer's instructions.

To help prolong the periods between polishing, you can apply a light coat of Vasoline or Olive Oil. This will reduce the rate of tarnishing but not detract from the appearance of the brass sign.
